Exit, Pursued by a Bear

The title of Shakespeare's play is The Winter's Tale. A Winter's Tale is the title that's common to five popular songs listed by Wikipedia – the best–known of which was written in 1982 by Mike Batt and Tim Rice in response to a request from David Essex, who had a No. 2 hit with it in the UK. (It was kept off the No. 1 spot by Phil Collins's cover version of You Can't Hurry Love.) The next best known was by Queen; it appeared on their final studio album, Made in Heaven, and reached No. 6 in the UK singles chart in 1995. It was inspired by Freddie Mercury, who had died four years previously.

The other three songs of the same title were by Genesis (1968), fellow British prog rockers Jade Warrior (1972) and the American rock band AFI.
